Fields of Gold
It may sound strange to think that there was a time in which cities of gold existed. They mostly seem to be made up stories by our ancestors to keep us motivated on digging into history details. However, even though one might doubt of the existance of such places, we can name one that could come very close to the description of what these ancient people called golden. No, it's not covered in metal, it's covered in grass, and when the sun hits it just right, it becomes a field of gold. So, could it be that humanity's search for golden cities (talking about the metal) might just be in vain?
